According to data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the country’s net electricity generation in November 2025 declined by 2% compared to the same month last year, reaching 1,315 GWh, which is 63% higher than in October 2025.
Breaking down generation by source, thermal power production fell by 18% year-on-year, while hydropower output increased by 10%. The Krško nuclear power plant maintained roughly the same production as last year. Wind and solar generation surged 50%, reflecting continued growth in renewable energy capacity.
In November, electricity imports amounted to 787 GWh (down 7% year-on-year), while exports totaled 908 GWh (also down 7%). Household consumption reached 314 GWh, a 15% increase from October, and commercial consumption rose to 657 GWh, up 12% compared to the previous month.
Overall supply of energy commodities decreased, except for natural gas (+15%), other petroleum products (+13%), and coke (+3%). Compared to October, supplies of kerosene (-42%), heating oil (-35%), hard coal (-16%), petrol (-8%), LPG (-8%), and diesel (-7%) declined. Year-on-year, lignite and brown coal supply dropped 41%, hard coal 23%, heating oil 7%, LPG 6%, and diesel 3%.
