Montenegro’s state-owned power utility, EPCG, has announced a call for bids to supply solar modules for its Kapino Polje L1 and L2 solar plants near Niksic.
The procurement is divided into two lots. Lot 1 covers modules for Kapino Polje L2, with an estimated value of 525,000 euros, while Lot 2 covers modules for Kapino Polje L1, valued at 100,000 euros. In total, EPCG plans to acquire 10,500 mono-crystalline modules rated at 580 W, with a combined budget of 625,000 euros, excluding VAT.
The tender specifies a minimum product warranty of 25 years and a performance guarantee of at least 30 years. For the mono-crystalline modules, the warranty period extends to 300 months from the date the completion certificate is signed. Bids must be submitted by 19 September.
This tender is part of a broader investment program at Kapino Polje. Previous procurements have included reinforcement mesh and anti-corrosion protection for the L1 and L2 sites, as well as machinery, tools, consumables, and construction equipment for the loading, transport, and installation of precast concrete foundations for the L1 steel structure.
EPCG describes the Kapino Polje complex as one of its flagship solar projects in the Niksic area. The overall project is planned to have a total capacity of 61 MW and an estimated value of 35 million euros, making it one of Montenegro’s most significant renewable energy assets. Kapino Polje L1 is designed with a capacity of 6.04 MW and an investment of 3.5 million euros, while Kapino Polje L2 will have 6 MW, also budgeted at 3.5 million euros. Additional phases, Kapino Polje B1 and B2, received approvals in March.
