In September 2025, a total of 102,854.3 MWh of electricity was traded on North Macedonia’s day-ahead electricity exchange, marking a 35.2% increase compared to 76,068 MWh recorded in the same month last year. However, trading volume was 18.6% lower than in August.
According to the electricity market operator MEMO, the average market-clearing price in September 2025 was 91.66 euros per MWh, representing a 12.8% increase compared to the previous month. The daily average trading volume reached 3,428.5 MWh.
North Macedonia’s electricity exchange was launched in May 2023, marking an important step in the country’s integration into regional electricity markets.
