Montenegro household electricity bills drop 28% in September 2025, consumption declines nearly 27% from August

In September 2025, the average household electricity bill in Montenegro was €28.51, representing a 27.7% decrease from August (€39.45) and a 2.8% decrease compared to September 2024 (€29.32). The lowest average monthly bill was recorded in Pljevlja (€19.40), while the highest was in Ulcinj (€36.60).

About 69.97% of households will pay less than €30 for September electricity, 17.25% between €30 and €50, 10.07% between €50 and €100, and 2.27% will receive bills above €100. A total of 182,598 regularly paying customers, roughly 44.85% of Montenegro’s households, received a discount.

The Montenegrin power utility EPCG reported that total household electricity consumption in September 2025 was 104.4 million kWh, down 1.89% from September 2024 and 27.09% compared to the previous month.
