A subsidiary of the power utility ERS, “Hidroelektrane na Drini”, which operates the Višegrad hydropower plant, announced that the facility produced 28.88 GWh of electricity in September 2025. This represents an increase of 16.5 percent compared to the previous month, when generation totaled 24.79 GWh. In September of the previous year, the plant produced 25.1 GWh of electricity.
During 2024, HPP Višegrad generated a total of 733 GWh of electricity, compared to 1,224 GWh in 2023. So far in 2025, production has reached 558.78 GWh.
The Višegrad hydropower plant was commissioned in 1989 and has an installed capacity of 315 MW (three units of 105 MW each). Its average annual production amounts to about 1,010 GWh of electricity, while the record annual output was achieved in 2010 with 1,283.05 GWh.
