Croatia: CROPEX electricity trading data – December 2025

A total of 1,087,877 MWh of electricity was traded on the Croatian energy exchange (CROPEX) in December 2025, representing an 8% decrease compared to October. Of this total, 880,731.5 MWh was traded on the day-ahead market and 207,145.5 MWh on the intraday market. Compared with December 2024, traded volume increased by 3.2%.

The average daily base price on the day-ahead market in December reached €113.1/MWh, 4.4% lower than in November, while the average euro-peak price was €125.37/MWh, 6% lower than the previous month. On the intraday market, the average price amounted to €112.9/MWh, a 5.2% decrease compared to November. The average daily traded volume on the day-ahead market was 28,410.7 MWh.

CROPEX was launched on 11 March 2016 in cooperation with Nord Pool, Europe’s leading electricity exchange, and is co-owned by the Croatian electricity transmission system operator (HOPS) and the Croatian electricity market operator (HROTE). The intraday market started operations in April 2017. On 19 June 2018, following a joint project by the Croatian and Slovenian transmission system operators and power exchanges, the CROPEX day-ahead market was successfully coupled with the MRC markets through the Croatian–Slovenian border.
