Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that Hungary’s oil deliveries remain uninterrupted, despite another Ukrainian strike on the Druzhba pipeline. He said that he had spoken directly with MOL leadership, who confirmed that the section serving Hungary continues to function normally. PM Orban emphasized that the country’s oil supply remains fully secure.
The Druzhba pipeline is a critical supply corridor for Central and Eastern Europe, delivering a substantial share of Hungary’s crude oil. The latest incident occurred when Ukraine’s military intelligence agency targeted a segment of the system in Russia’s Tambov region.
This strike follows multiple previous attacks on the Druzhba pipeline, despite objections from both Hungary and Slovakia. It is believed to be the fifth such operation carried out this year. Earlier assaults were reported in September and August, the latter drawing sharp criticism from the Hungarian Government.
Despite repeated disruptions along other parts of the route, Hungarian officials emphasize that crude oil shipments to the country remain stable and unhindered.
